I have been working so hard, playing so fully, laughing so deeply, and now it is time to cry. I spent the day with one of my dearest friends in the world, yesterday, as we had to put his cat to sleep. Fortunately, the vet came to my friend’s house, and we were able to let the cat die peacefully outside, in the sweet rays of sunshine, with the sound of birds and distant cars a gentle hum.

There is no greater love than to hold a friend who is bawling their head off and to know you need to say nothing but hold them close, stroke their hair and whisper “I love you” now and then.

We will miss our dear Cheetah, God rest your soul and carry on your catlike ways on the next plain.
