The Connextion recently interviewed me for their newsletter that goes out to over 20,000 folks.
Thought I would share my answers with you all:
The Connextion (TC): If you could be anyone for one day, who would you want to be and why?
Sara: I would be Osama Bin Laden. I would want to be Osama so I could understand him from the inside out, so that I could have internal dialogue about what was happening in the world and, perhaps, hopefully, change my perspective on terrorism. I would get on the phone and arrange a meeting with all the world’s heads of state, and I would sit down with everone until we all could figure out ways to live in better communication and connection. If not Osama, then Dick Cheney or Karl Rove.
TC: Who is your greatest influence?
Sara: Jesus, followed by Stephen Wright.
TC: What is your favorite movie:
Sara: At the moment, “Brokeback Mountain”…of all time, “Reds”
TC: What was the first concert you attended?
Sara: I sat front and center at a David Cassidy concert when I was 7 years old in Houston, Texas. He wore a white fringe leather jacket and hopped around a lot.
TC: What is in your CD player right now?
Sara: George Marinelli, Eliza Gilkinson, Patty Griffin, Michael Lille and the new Paul McCartney.
TC: What’s your sign?
Sara: Up.
TC: What did you have for breakfast this morning?
Sara: Pizza and chocolate cake.
TC: What book are you currently reading?
Sara: “The Birchbark House” with my daughter, Lily (9) and “Speak Peace in a World of Conflict”
TC: If you had the power to change one thing in the world, what would you change?
Sara: To rid the world of greed and replace it with compassion, laughter and bartering.
