National Day of Action: April 17

Do you believe that everyone should be paid a living wage? That everyone should have access to housing, food and medical care? Make your voice heard by joining the National Day of Action:

For the second time in a year, we will have a Universal Living Wage Action in every state in the Union! In September, we got on at least one bridge in every state with Bridge the Economic Gap Day.

On April 17th, next Monday, we will head to our nation’s Post Offices when again every state, Washington D.C., and Puerto Rico will hear the cry for a Universal Living Wage. (Hawaii pending)

Go to http://www.UniversalLivingWage.org, click on the 1st hot link, “your contact information” to see the nation’s activities and see your closest Post Office. Join in. We will be there from 4:30-6:00pm local time. Support the businesses, Unions, religious groups, and non-profits who took the lead this go around.

If you are a Post Office Captain, you should have received your banner, placards, press release, flyer, and “how to” tips by now. But, just in case, we have included with this e-mail those essentials. Make your media contacts now! On April 11th your local media contacts will have received our national press release.

Contact us immediately if we still need your Post Office location. On Monday, take pictures, take pictures, take pictures! Send us your best photos and we will post them on the web page with your contact information.

Finally, you have done the work- so bring your balloons and invite other groups to your party. Have fun! Be Safe!
