Lyrics
Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas
Have yourself a merry little Christmas,
Let your heart be light
From now on,
our troubles will be out of sight
Have yourself a merry little Christmas,
Make the Yule-tide gay,
From now on,
our troubles will be miles away.
Here we are as in olden days,
Happy golden days of yore.
Faithful friends who are dear to us
Gather near to us once more.
Through the years
We all will be together,
If the Fates allow
Hang a shining star upon the highest bough.
And have yourself
A merry little Christmas now.
Silent Night
Silent night, holy night,
All is calm, all is bright
Round yon virgin mother and Child.
Holy Infant, so tender and mild,
Sleep in heavenly peace,
Sleep in heavenly peace.
Silent night, holy night,
Shepherds quake at the sight;
Glories stream from heaven afar,
Heavenly hosts sing Alleluia!
Christ the Savior is born,
Christ the Savior is born!
Silent night, holy night,
Son of God, love’s pure light;
Radiant beams from Thy holy face
With the dawn of redeeming grace,
Jesus, Lord, at Thy birth,
Jesus, Lord, at Thy birth.
Last Month of the Year
Tell me when was Jesus born?
It was the last month of the year
When was Jesus born?
It was the last month of the year
When was Jesus born?
It was the last month of the year
Was it January? no no
February? no no
March, April, May? no no no
June, July, August, September, October, November?
It was the 25th day of December
It was the last month of the year
Tell me when was Jesus born?
It was the last month of the year
When was Jesus born?
It was the last month of the year
When was Jesus born?
It was the last month of the year
Was it January? no no
February? no no
March, April, May? no no no
June, July, August, September, October, November?
It was the 25th day of December
It was the last month of the year
He was born of a virgin
Wrapped in swaddling clothes
Lying in a manger
Was it January? no no
February? no no
March, April, May? no no no
June, July, August, September, October, November?
It was the 25th day of December
It was the last month of the year
And then God called Moses
On the mountaintop
And then he stamped his law
Right onto Moses' heart
Was it January? no no
February? no no
March, April, May? no no no
June, July, August, September, October, November?
It was the 25th day of December
It was the last month of the year
Tell me when was Jesus born?
It was the last month of the year
When was Jesus born?
It was the last month of the year
When was Jesus born?
It was the last month of the year
It was the last month of the year
Frosty the Snowman
Thumpety thump thump
Thumpety thump thump
Look at Frosty go
Thumpety thump thump
Thumpety thump thump
Over the hills of snow
Frosty the snowman was a jolly happy soul,
With a corncob pipe and a button nose,
And two eyes made out of coal.
Frosty the snowman is a fairy tale, they say,
He was made of snow but the children
know how he came to life one day.
There must have been some magic in that
Old silk hat they found.
For when they placed it on his head,
He began to dance around.
Frosty the snowman
Was alive as he could be,
And the children say he could laugh
And play just the same as you and me.
Thumpety thump thump,
Thumpety thump thump,
Look at Frosty go.
Thumpety thump thump,
Thumpety thump thump,
Over the hills of snow.
Frosty the snowman knew
The sun was hot that day,
So he said, "Let's run and
we'll have some fun
now before I melt away."
Down to the village,
With a broomstick in his hand,
Running here and there all
Around the square saying,
"Catch me if you can!"
He led them down the streets of town
Right to the traffic cop.
And he only paused a moment when
He heard him holler "Stop!"
For Frosty the snowman
Had to hurry on his way,
But he waved goodbye saying,
"Don't you cry,
I'll be back again some day."
Thumpety thump thump,
Thumpety thump thump,
Look at Frosty go.
Thumpety thump thump,
Thumpety thump thump,
Over the hills of snow.
Over the hills of snow!
Angels Among Us
I was walking home from school on a cold winter's day
I took a shortcut through the woods, and I lost my way
I was scared and alone and the sky was tumblin' down
But then a kind old man took my hand and he led me home
My mama couldn’t see him, oh, but he was standing there
I knew in my heart, he was the answer to my prayers
Oh, I believe there are angels among us
Sent down to us from somewhere up above
They come to you and me in our darkest hours
To show us how to live, to teach us how to give
To guide us with a light of love
When life held troubled times, and had me down on my knees
There’s always been someone there to come along and comfort me
A kind word from a stranger, to lend a helping hand
A phone call from a friend, just to say I understand
And ain’t it kind of funny that at the dark end of the road
Someone lights the way with just a single ray of hope
Oh, I believe there are angels among us
Sent down to us from somewhere up above
And they come to you and me in our darkest hours
To show us how to live, to teach us how to give
To guide us with a light of love
They wear so many faces, show up in the strangest places
To guide us with their mercy, in our time of need
Oh, I believe there are angels among us
Sent down to us from somewhere up above
They come to you and me in our darkest hours
To show us how to live, to teach us how to give
They guide us with a light of love
They guide us with a light of love.
Santa Claus is Coming to Town
You better watch out
You better not cry
Better not pout
I'm telling you why
Santa Claus is coming to town
He's making a list
And checking it twice;
Gonna find out who's naughty and nice
Santa Claus is coming to town
He sees you when you've been sleeping
He knows when you're awake
He knows if you've been bad or good
So be good for goodness sake!
You better watch out!
You better not cry
You better not pout
I'm telling you why
Santa Claus is coming around!
He's got little tin horns and little toy drums,
rootie-toot-toots and rum-a-tum tums.
Santa Claus... well you know the rest.
He's got curly-haired dolls and no kung-fu,
bicycles, tricycles, kiddie cars too
Santa Claus is coming to town
Oh, kids in girl- and boy-land
Will have a jubilee
They're going to build a toyland,
all around the Christmas tree.
So, you better watch out
You better not cry
Better not pout, let me hip you to why
Santa Claus is coming around
He sees you when you've been sleeping
He knows when you're awake
He can dig it when you're bad or good
So be good for goodness sake!
'Cause you better be good
You better be square
Santa sees you everywhere!
And Santa Claus is coming
Santa Claus is coming
Santa Claus is coming to town!
The Reason We Have Christmas In the World
The sweetness of your smile could bring a teardrop from a stone
Your hand's soft touch upon me says I'll never be alone
And when you're lying close beside me, nestled in my arms
You provoke the mockingbird to song
When Jesus was a baby child, the shepherds heard the angels' choir
Singing on the night when he was born
Wise men came with precious gifts, they knelt and bowed as Mary kissed
The hands that had created all the world
The sweetness of his smile could bring a teardrop from a stone
His hand's soft touch upon us says we'll never be alone
And when we come to kneel before him and to humbly bow
He'll provoke the mockingbird to song
When Jesus was a baby child, the shepherds heard the angels' choir
Singing on the night that he was born
Wise men came with precious gifts, they knelt and bowed as Mary kissed
The reason we have Christmas in the world
Kiss This Christmas Goodbye
Kiss this Christmas goodbye
Pack up the tinsel and the lights
Send ol' Santa on his way
With his reindeer in his sleigh
Kiss this Christmas goodbye
Another book full of memories
Photos of family 'round the tree
A cup of egg nog and good cheer
It's so sweet for me to hear
Why do we wait to gather once a year?
Kiss this Christmas goodbye
For there's no time to reason why
It's the season wrapped in love
And we never get enough
Kiss this Christmas goodbye
Singing carols in the snow
To every neighbor's house we go
Children bathed in colored lights
As we hold each other tight
Breathless in the endless wonderment
Kiss this Christmas goodbye
But keep your goodwill shining bright
Hear the angels from above
Sing the awesome story of
What happened long ago, one night
Kiss this Christmas goodbye
Kiss this Christmas goodbye
Kiss this Christmas goodbye. . .
